Training in Risk and Crisis Communication (TRACC)

Crisis communication demands are instant and can extend 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Preparing for effective communication is essential to enhancing public safety, maintaining trust among stakeholders, and increasing community resilience. After completing the training, participants will be able to conduct audience analysis, analyze and engage audiences online, and leverage new and traditional media in a crisis. Participants will have the opportunity to practice crisis communication by participating in a multi-party simulated crisis scenario that emulates the complexity, pressure, and confusion of a real crisis.
